Chanel No. 5 L’Eau reminds me of most of Prada’s line, in that it smells like a homeopathic version of a perfume. I am sure there is a much cheaper, diy version that could be made with perfumer’s alcohol – I don’t hate L’Eau, but it seems like terrible value.The I have a disappointing experience smelling Chanel No.5 at an Ulta and it smelled acrid and not at all like it's meant to be on someone's skin. I hope that it's just the Ulta not being mindful to the perfume storage. I've tried to like it many times but it just doesn't smell good to me. None of the classic Chanel perfumes do, and most of them (new and old) give me a headache. I would take Shalimar or L'air du Temps over No.5 anyday.
