In my rack it became the most eye-catching component. now apparently the kora hermes 2 which is what mine is comes with the 12Au7s on the output stage..and while I have loved dacs with 6922 stages I'm happy to keep an open mind on this. so no wasting in hookup.basically just running off spdif off my luxman D-06 using an old siltech digital interconnect had from the 90s.

(At least I'm honest) The Kora Hermes II DAC makes my CD's sound like vinyl and it is quick as lightening, has bass that rolls across the floor and a sound stage that's absolutely amazing! I'm extremely impressed. The Kora for now hits the spot and strikes a solid middle ground between the thicker sound of the wadia and the faster sound of the best of the newer players. It sounds particularly good through the HD2 a a headphone source but also is very nice through my current cobbled together speaker rig of alonl's powered by the ASL Typhoon with a passive .

My 2 cents is there is a vendor near the goldsmith guild in uldah that sells level 29 accessories for pretty much dirty cheap. Do a solo run of Brayflox unsynced for some easy level 30ish gear. The guild sells weapons, and I think armour. If not there head to Costa del sol and see what they have.
